Guardians of our surroundings
Soil is life
Mas Climent is not only a farm but an ecosystem in itself. We are convinced there is no life without soil, and no fertile soil without life.
That is why we make soil nutrition the foundation that sustains the farm's biodiversity. We use practices such as crop rotation, cover crops, grazing animals and minimum tillage, which encourage native soil fauna and flora and improve its formation and structure.
Healthy soil holds more water, absorbs more CO2 from the atmosphere and carries it straight to the roots. This raises the quality of what we produce, thanks to soil that is healthy and genuinely fertile. As the environment consolidates, the soil finds balance and once again hosts life of every kind.

In practice
A circular system
We use our own plant matter, never burned, to generate the biomass that fertilises and feeds our soils, closing the productive circle.
Cover crops
Across all cultivated land: they make the most of our resources, optimise water use and reduce the need for insecticides.
Rainwater
We built a small rainwater catchment pond to promote biodiversity, help amphibians spread and save water.
Shared knowledge
We collaborate with educational institutions to support research and practice in Regenerative Agriculture.
These are the actions we take
The farm, plot by plot
01
Regenerative agriculture
Ethical management of the land: crop rotation, cover crops, grazing and minimum tillage. Healthy soil is the origin and creator of life.
02
1 hectare of vineyard
Organic vines on cool, deep soils on the slopes of Les Gavarres. Garnatxa gris, Garnatxa negra and Syrah, hand-harvested and pressed the same day.
03
Olive groves
Arbequina olive trees, 100% organic and a benchmark oil in our village, Sant Martí Vell. Early hand picking and cold pressing.
04
Bees
From our 20 hives comes Mas Climent wildflower honey: fennel, cherry, plum, chestnut, broom and brassicas from Les Gavarres.
05
Grazing animals
Sheep, goats, donkeys and hens fertilise and clean the farm, adding the organic matter that keeps soil nutrients and microorganisms active.
06
Organic garden
Vegetables and medicinal plants from local Catalan seeds and varieties, which we turn into jams, sauces and preserves.
